Well, please, introduce yourselves.

I'm mapgirl... I went to Johns Hopkins and finished in 1996. I was the only geography major that year.

Hi mapgirl, Chris Walker here. Graduated from JHU in '85 with a degree in History.

David Donald was right when he observed that as a prominent historian and professor his first obligation was to disabuse his students of any practical value to the study of history. Since graduation, I have, therefore, worked in the computer hardware and software industry.

I guess I was luckier; my degree (1972) was "social and behavioral sciences area," which was broad enough to incorporate nearly any career. As it did mine, in journalism.

      Welcome.

    Hi ladies and gents -

I escaped from Hopkins with an undergrad degree in Psychology in 1991 which should of course have application in almost any endeavor. However, I find I mostly use it in trying to trick my cats into doing things and I'm only marginally successful at that - lol!
